CUTLER – Zola M. Mikel, 91, of Cutler passed away at 12:02 AM, Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at her home in Cutler.

Zola was born on September 25, 1928, in Greenway, Arkansas, the daughter of Ray and Alberta (Brandt) Belt. She married Billy G. Mikel, in May of 1948, in Kennett, Missouri, and they shared 66 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on June 25, 2014. Zola was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal faith.

Zola is survived by her children; Danny Mikel, of St. Peters, Missouri, Peggy Higgerson, of Cutler, Bonnie Ricker, of Cutler, Martha "Cookie" Skiles, of Willisville, Billy Mikel, of St. Louis, Missouri, Gerald Mikel, of St. Louis, Missouri, granddaughter who she raised; Jennifer Mikel, 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister; Drene Ware, of St. Louis, Missouri.

Mrs. Mikel was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons; Ronnie Mikel, Larry Mikel, and 6 grandchildren.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, private graveside services will be held at the Cutler Cemetery with Rev. Billy Pendergrass officiating. Memorials may be made to a Love Fund for the Family and mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O. Box 217, Steeleville, Illinois 62288.
