AVA, Zelda J. McCann, 85, of Ava, passed away at 8:20 PM Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Rehab and Care Center in Murphysboro, Illinois. She was born January 31, 1927 in Ava, Illinois the daughter of Thomas Shirley and Leota (Riggs) McClure. Zelda married James H. McCann, Sr. on October 25, 1947 in St. Charles, MO . James passed away on April 28, 1979. Zelda was a Homemaker and she was of the Catholic Faith. She is survived by sons: James H. McCann, Jr. of Freeburg, IL; Tracy A. McCann of Butner, NC, and daughters: Shirley Anheuser of DuQuoin, IL; Sadie Brooks of Ava, IL and Linda Bukovac of Branson, MO. She is also survived by 28 Grandchildren, 41 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Zelda is preceded in death by her parents, 3 sons, 1 grandson, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Wilson's Funeral Home Ava, Illinois with Rev. Blu Berner officiating. Burial will follow at Looney Springs Cemetery, Campbell Hill, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 AM to time of service. Memorials may be made to a Love Fund for the family
