STEELEVILLE – Wilma B. Westerman, 84, of Steeleville passed away at 10:30 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Three Springs Lodge in Chester.
Wilma was born on March 25, 1932 in Percy the daughter of Martin and Hulda (Weaver) Brockmeyer. She married Edgar H. Westerman on June 2, 1951 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wine Hill, and they shared 59 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on March 12, 2011. Wilma was retired from Snyder General, in Red Bud. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church-West Point, Campbell Hill; BBK American Legion Post #480 Auxiliary, Steeleville; and was active in various church organizations.
Wilma is survived by her daughter, Judy (Dave) Eaton of Steeleville; son, Dale Westerman of Ellis Grove, IL; four granddaughters, Jamie Pierce, Sherri Buch, Daysha Westerman, Kacy Westerman; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Darlene (Herman) Mayer of Steeleville, Anita (George) Miller of Campbell Hill, and LaVern (Willard) Bockhorn of Sparta; and one brother, Ray (Carolyn) Brockmeyer of Percy.
Wilma was also preceded in death by her Parents; one brother; three sisters; and one daughter-in-law.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church-West Point, Campbell Hill with Rev. Timothy Sims officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery-West Point, Campbell Hill. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund or the Activity Fund at Three Springs Lodge in Chester.
