STEELEVILLE, William Lawrence Sullivan, 77, of Steeleville, passed away at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born January 05, 1933 in Cutler, Illinois the son of Ray Sullivan and Lula (Davis) Sullivan. William married Dolores Uchtman on November 10, 1951 in Steeleville, IL. Dolores passed away on November 29, 2008. He is survived by his son: Michael Sullivan of Chester, IL; daughters: Patricia and Larry Stork of Steeleville, IL, Debra and David Elsea of Steeleville, IL and Lori and Jim Oakley of Evansville, IL; eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister: Paula and Walter Bisiegel of New Athens, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter and one sister. Mr. Sullivan served in the U.S. Army, during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired Pressman from World Color Press, Sparta, IL. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL, B.B.K. American Legion Post #480, Steeleville, IL, Steeleville Sportsman Club, and G.C.I.U. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 25, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Julie Posth, Parish Minister Assistant will be officiating. Burial will be at Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Thursday from 6-8 PM and then on Friday from 7:30 am till 9 am and then from 10 to 11am at the church. Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Memorial Fund.
