CAHOKIA, William E. Rodermund, 85, of Cahokia, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born July 14, 1925 in Louisiana the son of William E. Rodermund and Golda (Wilson) Rodermund. William married Rosalee Gonzales on January 15, 1999 in St. Louis, MO. He is survived by his wife Rosalee Rodermund of Cahokia, IL; step daughters: Corianne D. Eschenfelder of Cahokia, IL and Vicky A. Knott of Staunton, IL; seven step grandchildren; one step great grandchild. William is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and three sisters. Mr. Rodermund served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as an Engineer for I.B.M. He was a member of St. John's Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Ava Evergreen Cemetery in Ava. Rev. Francis Bartley will be officiating. Burial will be at Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava on Friday from 11am to 1 pm.
