PINCKNEYVILLE - William M. "Bill" Linders, 58, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 8:26 a.m. on Friday , October 22 , 2021 at Evelyn's House in Creve Couer, MO.
Bill was born in Pamona, California on April 9, 1963, the son of Charles and Alberta Jennings Linders. He married Wendetta "Wende" Shaw on August 24, 1991 in Percy, Illinois. Bill was a tow motor driver at Spartan Light Metals for 13 years prior to retiring and worked at Gilster Mary Lee for 16 years before he worked at Spartan. Bill loved having his kids and grandkids over, chatting with close family and friends, and taking care of his and Wende's pets. He enjoyed cooking, especially barbecuing, and making sure everyone was well fed. Bill also enjoyed going fishing, taking rides, and making people laugh.
Bill is survived by his wife, Wende Linders of Pinckneville; son, Carl Shaw of Itasca; daughters, Alisha (Kevin) Otten of Sparta and Stephanie (Jonathan Finke) Linders of Nashville; granddaughters, Hailey Finke and Anna Otten; sister, Cheryl Feuerhammer of Percy; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert "Bob" Linders.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 6:30 pm, at Wilson's Funeral Home, 509 W. Illinois St. Steeleville, Illinois 62288, with Pastor Gerald McElroy officiating. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, on Wednesday from 5 pm until 6:30 pm. Memorials may be given to a College Fund for his granddaughters and can be mailed to Wilson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 217, Steeleville, IL 62288.
