Obituary
STEELEVILLE, William L. Diercks, 86, of Steeleville, passed away at 3:40 PM Sunday, February 12, 2017, at Pinckneyville Community Hospital in Pinckneyville, Illinois. He was born September 15, 1930 in Steeleville, Illinois the son of William and Hulda (Duensing) Diercks. Bill married Maxine C. Guin on September 28, 1952 in Santa Maria, California.
Bill was retired from World Color Press in Sparta, IL. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Bill was a member of the United Methodist Church in Percy, the American Legion BBK Post #480 in Steeleville, the VFW Post #3553 in Chester and the Teamsters.
Bill is survived by his wife: Maxine C. Diercks, Steeleville, IL; Children: Michael (Debby) Diercks, Marion, IL, Richard Diercks, Steeleville, IL, Marsha (Neil) Rodewald, Campbell Hill, IL and James (Marilyn) Diercks, Ava, IL; 11 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, Illinois with Rev. Marvin "Bud" Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 7:30am until hour of service.
