AVA, Wilbur H. Clendenin, 87, of Ava, passed away at 12:35 PM Monday, June 22, 2015, at his home in Ava, Illinois. He was born March 11, 1928 in Rockwood, Illinois the son of Harry Burus and Clara (Husband) Clendenin. Wilbur married Greta Jane Larson on October 2, 1954 in Mendota, IL. Wilbur was an Engineer, Farmer and worked in farm equipment sales. He was a member of Crain Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Greta Jane Clendenin, Ava, IL; Children: Cathy (Scott) Nelson of High Ridge, MO, Harry Clendenin of Sidney, OH, Karen (Rodney) Wood of New Haven, MO and Ralph (Melinda) Clendenin of Marion, IA; Grandchildren: Jonathan Nelson, Gail (Dan Hoy) Clendenin, Nathanael Clendenin, Jalee Clendenin; Samuel Clendenin, Bradley, Brett and Summer Clendenin; Brother: Jack Clendenin of Rockwood and Sister: Mary Standaert of Milwaukee, WI. Wilbur is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Wilson's Funeral Home Ava, Illinois with Rev. Tim Olson officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Rockwood, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday from 7:30am until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to Ebenezer Cemetery or Crain Baptist Church.
