Obituary

- Wesley Francis Heine, beloved father and grandfather, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 at the Washington County Hospital, Nashville, IL. He attained the age of 100 and 27 days. Wesley was born to William and Clara Higgerson Heine at Cutler, Illinois. He married Vera Hodge on May 13, 1939 in Jackson, MO. She preceded him in death on September 13, 2005. They were married for 66 years. Mr. Heine was a retired farmer. Throughout his lifetime he served as a member of the Perry County Farm Bureau Board for many years, and was a member of Pinckneyville Baptist Church where he once served as a deacon. He also served on several other boards in Southern Illinois, and also attended and was active in the Denmark Baptist Church for many years. Mr. Heine is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Marilyn Heine of Campbell Hill; four grandchildren, Belinda Conner and husband Scott of DuQuoin, IL, Rosemary Boswell and husband Joel of O'Fallon, IL, Bryan Heine and wife Lisa of Bloomington, IL and Matthew Heine and wife Lisa of Pinckneyville; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Nedra Heine of Sparta, IL; five great grandchildren, Rebecca and Benjamin Conner of Carterville, Jacob and Luke Boswell of O'Fallon and Isaac Heine of Pinckneyville; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, Gerald Wesley; one infant granddaughter, Karen Louise Heine; and three sisters, Lola Mae Keene, Lois Armstrong and Vera Smith. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Marty DeRoche officiating. Burial will follow at Cottom Cemetery, Cutler, IL. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Thursday and on Friday from 7:30 am until 11 am. Memorials may be given to Cottom Cemetery.
