WILLISVILLE – Wayne Dean Morgan, 84, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Marshall Browning Hospital, DuQuoin, Illinois.

Wayne was born on June 9, 1940, in Ava, IL, the son of James H. and Nina Ellen (King) Morgan. He married Patricia Gill on February 28, 1958, in Percy, IL. Wayne was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served from 1959 – 1965. He was retired from the Illinois Department of Corrections and a member of First Baptist Church, Percy, IL.

Wayne is survived by his wife Patricia Morgan of Willisville, IL, several nieces, nephews and friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters: Eveline Baker, Amanda Surman, Barbara Goetz; 3 brothers: James Freeman Morgan, Fred Morgan and Raymond Morgan.
