PERCY, Wayne M. Meyer, 84, of Percy, passed away at 11:05 AM Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Coulterville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Coulterville, Illinois. He was born October 20, 1930 in Corwith, Iowa the son of William A and Mary A. (Jackson) Meyer. Wayne married Norma J. Gladson on December 23, 1950 in Steeleville, IL. Wayne was retired from Atlas Mfg. in Sparta, IL. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Percy, IL and a member of Alma Lodge #497 A.F & A. M., Steeleville, IL. Wayne had a love for farming and tractors. He is survived by his wife: Norma J. Meyer, Percy, IL; 4 Daughters: Patricia (Michael) Hagene, Steeleville, IL, Marsha (Jan) Byrd, Percy, IL, Brenda (Stan) Gerlach, Steeleville, IL and Donna (Stephen) Owen, Percy, IL; 6 Grandchldren: Chad (Heather) Hagene, Kyle Hagene, Mark (Becca) Byrd, Brandi (John) Junge, Becky (Jeff) Davalos and Jeremy Owen; 3 Great Grandchildren: Marshall Hagene, Evelyn Junge, August Junge and Shelby Davalos; 3 Sisters: Ethel Pierson, Colorado Springs, CO, Judy James, Percy, IL and Marilyn Meyer, Pinckneyville, IL. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law, Bob Pierson Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Wilson's Funeral Home Steeleville, Illinois with Rev. Marvin "Bud" Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Steeleville City Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, on Monday where friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and then on Tuesday from 7:30am until time of service. There will be a Masonic Service at 8pm on Monday. Memorials may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church of Percy, IL.
