STEELEVILLE, Wayne E. Luedeman, 67, of Steeleville, passed away at 3:05 A.M. Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Pinckneyville Community Hospital in Pinckneyville, IL. He was born June 02, 1943 in Murphysboro, Illinois the son of Edwin Luedeman and Hulda M.(Haberman) Luedeman. Wayne married Loretta Lampe on February 9, 1963 in Campbell Hill, Illinois. He is survived by his wife Loretta Luedeman of Steeleville, IL; daughter: Sandra Luedeman Glenn of Steeleville, IL; grandson: Josh Korando of Plain Field, IL; granddaughter: Sarah Schwarz of Johnson City, IL; sister: Dolores and Marlin Brockmeyer of Steeleville, IL; brother: Marvin Luedeman of Cahokia, IL. ; brother-in-law: Melvin Lampe of Jackson, MO; sisters-in-law: Arlene and Leonard Lampe of Steeleville, IL and Darlene Kraft of Huston, TX. Many niece and nephews. He will be sadly missed by family members and friends. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents. Wayne was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL. He was a Corporate Programmer for Egyptian Electric Cooperative Association, Steeleville, IL. He was also a former member of the Steeleville Fire Department serving 24 years, serving as chief for 5 years. He was a former instructor for the University of Illinois Fire Service Program, former member of the Steeleville Police Force serving 12 years. Wayne coached numerous softball and baseball teams in the Steeleville community. He worked for WXAN, Ava, announcing basketball games for the area. He was a avid golfer and an active member of the Steeleville Eagles Aerie #3960. He enjoyed spending time with all, Wayne was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 4, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke will be officiating. Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Thursday from 5-8 PM and then on Friday from 7:30 to 11am and then at the church from Noon to 1pm.
