MURPHYSBORO, Wanda Marie Mumaugh, 80, of Murphysboro, passed away at 5:34 AM Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale in Carbondale, Illinois. She was born March 19, 1931 in Ava, Illinois the daughter of Harry E. Cochran and Bernice (Weatherford) Cochran. Wanda married George E. Mumaugh on Thursday, August 31, 1989 in St. Mary's, MO. George passed away on August 26, 1997. She is survived by her: son: Kenneth and Susan Trotter, Murphysboro, IL; 2 grandchildren: Robert Swayze, Curtis Trotter; 5 great grandchildren: Jordan, Jayden and Lexsey Swayze, Hayli and Chance Trotter; brother: Clarence Cochran, Carbondale, IL; 3 sisters: Rose Mary Saupe, Jacob, IL, Kathryn Faye Sudano, Murphysboro, IL, Verna Colombo, Murphysboro, IL. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents and one brother. She was a retired factory worker and a member of the V.F.W. Post #7190 Auxiliary of Murphysboro, IL. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Wilsons Funeral Home Ava, Illinois. Rev. Francis Bartley will be officiating. Burial will follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, IL. Visitation will be at Wilsons Funeral Home, Ava on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, then on Friday from 7:30 AM until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to Lone Oak Cemetery.
