Obituary

MURPHYSBORO, Vivian R. Throop, 90, formerly of Willisville, passed away at Monday, December 13, 2010, at Rehab and Care Center in Murphysboro, IL. She was born December 27, 1919 in Scharrard, Illinois the daughter of William Otto. Johnson and Irene (McDowell) Johnson. Vivian married Clarence Frederick Throop on February 17, 1940 in Iowa. Clarence passed away on January of 1970. She is survived by her three sons: William C. Johnson of Belton, TX, Clarence Eugene Throop of Ellis Grove, IL and Thomas Dale Throop of DuQuoin, IL; two daughters: Irene Izella Thies of Steeleville, IL and Mary Ruth Stork of Dyersburg, TN; 19 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren; one brother: William Lyle Johnson of Galesburg, IL; one sister: Lucille Mae Holder of Moline, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Mrs. Throop was retired from Bindery at World Color Press, Sparta, IL. Vivian was a member of the St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Campbell Hill, IL, American Auxiliary Post #480, Steeleville, IL, Auxiliary Eagles in Sparta, IL and the W.W.O. Club in Willisville, IL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville. Rev. Matthew Kamprath and Rev. Laura Kamprath will be officiating. Burial will be at Cutler Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Saturday from 10 to Noon. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or American Heart Association or to Hospice of Southeran Illinois.
