STEELEVILLE, Virginia "Ginger" Mueller, 85, of Steeleville, passed away at 12:15 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, Illinois. Virginia was born August 8, 1926 in Steeleville, Illinois the daughter of Irwin R. and Edith L. Jacoby Fuhrhop. Virginia married Harold E. "Moon" Mueller on Sunday, September 12, 1948 in Steeleville, IL. Harold preceded her in death on July 10, 2011. She was a retired receptionist from the First National Bank of Steeleville and Wolters Dept. Store, Koeneman Insurance Agency and she also worked at Dots Shoppe and the Steeleville Sports Stadium. Virginia was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, Steeleville. Virginia was a troop leader for the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts and coached Junior League Golf at Southwestern Lakes Golf course. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and she also loved photgraphy. Virginia is survived by one son: Mark (Karen) Mueller of Western Springs, IL; one daughter, Laura Mueller (Fiance: Buddy Dudley) of Murphysboro, IL; and sisters, Florence Niederbrach of Costa Mesa, CA, Betty Yanke of North Manchester, IN and June Goetting of Percy, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Virginia is also preceded in death by her parents and one son: Kent. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Peace Lutheran Church Steeleville, Illinois with Rev. S. Blake Duncan be officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 to 11 am at the church. Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church.
