SPARTA - Virginia Loesing, 95, of Sparta, passed away at 6:15 am, Sunday, November 8, 2015, at the Randolph County Care Center in Sparta. Virginia was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on September 11, 1920, the daughter of the late Michael and Luctria Bradley Morrison. She married James Loesing on August 23, 1941 in Sparta, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2007. Virginia was a Homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Sparta, of the Art Guild in Sparta and St. Ann's Altar Sodality in Sparta. She was a former member of Sparta Hospital Auxiliary, Randolph County Care Center Auxiliary and a former 4H Leader. Virginia is survived by her children, Pat (David) Bruening of Omaha, Neb., Mike (Carolyn) Loesing of Sparta, and Jim Loesing of Florissant, CO; her grandchildren, Shannon (Steve) Bruening Hughes, Kantria (Martin) Bruening Graica, Elizabeth (Marc) Bruening Smith, Steve Loesing, J. "Duke" (Samantha) Loesing, and Virginia Rose Loesing; and great grandchildren, Daniel (Lisa) Gracia; Katlin, Dillion, Emily, Jack, Logan and Adison Loesing; Aleiah Hudson, Hunter and Lacie Henley. Virginia was also preceded in death by her Parents; and brothers, Norman Morrison and Don Giovanni. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Sparta with Father John Agbasiere officiating. Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery in Sparta. Visitation will be at the church where friends may call from 9 am until 11 am Thursday. Memorials may be given to Sparta Senior Center or a charity of choice.
