STEELEVILLE, Virginia M. "Kido" Craig, 95, formerly of Karnak until 1988 then Carterville until 2002 then of Steeleville, passed away at 10:48 P.M. Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, IL. She was born April 29, 1916 in Carterville, Illinois the daughter of Samuel Hampton and Dona (Day) Hampton. Virginia married Joe Craig on June 6, 1936 in Carterville, IL. Joe passed away on April 15, 1987. She is survived by her three daughters: Phyllis and Clarence Manker of Manteno, IL, Mary Ann and Donald Badgley of Steeleville, IL, and Joie and Donald Gulley of Peoria, AZ; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; one sister: June Hampton of Marion, IL. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents and one sister. She was a homemaker in her own home. She was also a member of the Karnak United Methodist Church but attended Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Carterville, IL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville. Pastor Steve Heisner will be officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Carterville with graveside services at 1pm. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Saturday from 9 to 11am. Memorials may be made to Steeleville Methodist Church or Donor's Choice.
