WALSH - Viola C. Runge, 94, of Walsh, passed away at 7:20 am, Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital in Chester. Viola was born in Walsh, Illinois on January 6, 1920, the daughter of Henry and Rose Hapke Eggemeyer. Viola married Ed A. Runge at Zion Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death in November 7, 1975. Viola was a homemaker and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Walsh. Viola is survived by one son, Larry (Beth) Runge of Walsh, IL; four grandchildren, Larry Runge, Jr., Terri Hiner, Carolyn Coke and Eddie Runge; 10 great grandchildren; and one sister, Anita Walker of Coal Valley, IL. Viola was also preceded in death by her Parents; one great grandson; three brothers; and two sisters. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Walsh with Rev. Harold Weber officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday and on Wednesday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 am until 11 am at the church. Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church.
