AVA – Veva Lorraine Speith, 72, of Ava, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022, in Ava, Illinois.

Lorraine was born in Great Bend, Kansas, on March 16, 1950, the daughter of William K. and Elnora E. (Moses) Adams. She married George Marvin Speith on December 27, 1986, at First Baptist Church in Ava, IL, he preceded her in death on September 17, 2003. Lorraine worked as a GIS Coordinator in Murphysboro, IL. She was a member of First Apostolic Church, Pinckneyville, IL.

Lorraine is survived by her children: Leslie (Ben) Koehn of Ava, IL, Mike (Heidi) Jones of High Ridge, MO; grandchildren: Jacob Koehn, Beau Koehn, Samuel Koehn, Craig (Jessica) Gerler, Rilee Jones and Bryson Jones; great grandchildren: Colton Gerler, Corey Gerler; sisters: Elnora Ellen Adams of Wichita, KS, Elaine Jenkins of Lewis, KS, and Debra Ann Dunn of Sneads, FL

Lorraine is also preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

It was Lorraine's wishes for cremation, with a Celebration of Life to be held in the spring. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
