PINCKNEYVILLE, Velma R. Fraembs, 82 years, 6 months, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 5:28 P.M. Thursday, September 23, 2010, at Coulterville Care Center in Coulterville, IL. She was born March 10, 1928 in Walsh, Illinois the daughter of Everett D. Rickenberg and Frieda (Beckman) Rickenberg. Velma was a loving, caring, sharing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She married Norman O. Fraembs on January 29, 1949 at Zion Lutheran Church in Walsh, Illinois. She is survived by her husband Norman O. Fraembs of Pinckneyville, IL; one son: Norman L. Fraembs of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren: grandson: Jeffery A. and Rhonda Fraembs of Steeleville, IL; granddaughter: Deanna and Todd Kalina of Phoenix , AZ.; great grandchildren: Cameron L. Fraembs, Devin S. Fraembs, of Steeleville, IL, August G. Kalina of Phoenix, AZ.; five sisters: Evangeline Wahlman of Walsh, IL, Mildred Witbart of Walsh, IL, Marlene Edwards of Walsh, IL, Donna Weiser of Walsh, IL, and Alice Gamble of Walsh, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers: Walter Rieckenberg, Homer Rickenberg, Harvey Rickenberg, Melvin Rickenberg, Wilbert Rickenberg, Everett Rickenberg and Ralph Rickenberg. Velma was retired from Sparta Light Metals, Sparta, Illinois. She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Bremen, IL for 61 years. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 27, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bremen. Rev. Ed. Rowley will be officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Bremen. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5 to 8pm at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville, IL and on Monday from 9 to 10am at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Bremen. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Research Foundation, American Cancer Society, St. John's Cemetery, or St. John's Trust Fund.
