SPARTA - Vanda K. Welty, 67, of Sparta, passed away at 11:57 pm, Tuesday,    July 7, 2020, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

Vanda was born in Murphysboro, Illinois, on October 7, 1952, the daughter of Oran Dale and Pauline M. Ehlers Welty.  She was a CNA.  Vanda was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sparta.

Vanda is survived by one daughter, Andrea L. (Walter D.) Johnson of Sparta; six grandchildren, Alexandria R. McFadden of Sparta, Trevor D. Johnson of Sparta, Shai McFadden of Arizona, Caleb Johnson (Jazmi) of Rockford, IL,          J-Lynn Johnson of Wayne City, IL, and Madeline Johnson of West Virginia; 3 great grandchildren; Mother, Pauline Welty of Sparta; sister, Thelma Winkelman of Sparta; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Vanda was preceded in death by her Father.

Phase 4 Guidelines will be in effect, which allows 50 attendees at one time, using social distancing guidelines and facemasks.  Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Percy Village Cemetery, with Rev. Carl Miller officiating.  Burial will follow.  Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 9 am until 11 am.  Memorials may be given to the Family.
