STEELEVILLE - Troy D. "Bog" Bogenpohl, 34, of Steeleville, passed away at 4:17 am, Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in Steeleville. Troy was born in Chester, Illinois on October 8, 1980, the son of Russell and Jan Ruby Bogenpohl. He worked at Gilster Mary Lee Corporation in Steeleville. Troy was a member of the River of Life Ministries in Steeleville. He was a loving Father. Troy was an avid outdoors man, who loved to BBQ and help out other people. Troy is survived by his son, Zane Bogenpohl of Steeleville, his daughter, Zara Bogenpohl of Steeleville; the mother of his children, Amanda Bogenpohl of Steeleville; his mother, Jan Bogenpohl of Steeleville; his father, Russell Bogenpohl of Willisville; extended family, Jim Frieman of Steeleville; Jessica & Derek Gentry of Rockwood, IL, Scott & Sara Frieman of Wichita, KS; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, who loved him dearly. Troy was preceded in death his maternal grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Ruby and his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Grace Bogenpohl. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. Edward Spiller officiating. Burial will follow Percy Village Cemetery, Percy, Illinois. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 10:30 am until the hour of service. Memorials may be given to a Love Fund for his Children or River of Life Ministries Building Fund.
