STEELEVILLE – Thomas D. Rushing, 76, of Steeleville, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in Ava, IL.

Thomas was born May 10, 1945 in California, to Clifford O. and Lottie Mae Fisk Rushing.  He married Rita Hlas on July 17, 1992 in Camden ME.  Thomas was a Safety Manager for Arch Coal Mines.

Thomas is survived by his wife Rita Rushing of Steeleville, IL, sons; Eric Rushing of Gillette, WY, and Jason Rushing of South China, ME, grandchildren; Brittany, Justin & Jacob, Hunter & Noah, brother; Jerry (Bonnie) Rushing of Tamaroa, IL.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.
