STEELEVILLE - Thomas A. Adams, 62, of Steeleville, passed away at 7:40 pm Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, IL. Thomas was born in Murphysboro, IL on November 24, 1950, the son of Thomas L. Adams, and was raised by his grandparents, John and Eunice Adams. He married Bobbie J. Pogue on June 5, 1980 in Steeleville, IL. Thomas was a Mechanic for Gilster Mary Lee Corp. in Perryville, MO. Thomas was of the Baptist Faith. Thomas is survived by his wife, Bobbie J. Adams of Steeleville; three sons, Thomas Adams, Jr. of Chester, Rodney (Chandra) Adams of Chester and Eric (Amanda) Adams of Steeleville; eleven grandchildren, Sarah Jo, Jerrod, Joel, Katy Jane, Haley, Destiny, Devon, Shelby, Brooklynn, John and Floyd Allen; and one great granddaughter, Aaliyah. Thomas is preceded in death by his Father; his paternal grandparents; many other relativess; and in laws. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville with Rev. Trey Reid officiating. Burial will follow in Percy Village Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday and on Thursday from 7:30 am until the hour of service. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
