Tamaroa – Thelma D. Queen, 70, of Tamaroa, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022, at her home in Tamaroa, IL.

Thelma was born October 11, 1951, in Platte City, MO, to Emil and Nellie Wilson Kendall.  She married Meril G. Queen on September 15, 1967, in Platte City, MO.  Thelma was a caregiver and a homemaker. She was a member of Loyalty Missionary Baptist Church, Sparta, IL.

Thelma is survived by her husband, Meril G. Queen of Tamaroa, IL, children: Shelly Conway (Billy Jr.) of Ava, IL, Kelly Queen of Chester, IL, Meril Queen, Jr. of DuQuoin, IL, Niki Keller (Nate) of Tamaroa, IL; grandchildren: Brandon Queen (Brittany), Shelsea Luehr (Aaron), Kameron Queen, Candace Queen, Brittany Depper, Todd Depper, Larry Depper, Dustin Queen, Matthew Queen, Savannah Tincher, Mandi Queen, Hailey Queen, Nathan Queen, Naomi Keller, Trenity Nycole, Dacey Keller, Hannah Patterson, Emma Patterson, Sumer Patterson, Nathan Keller II; great grandchildren: Hunter Gipson, Aiden Gipson, Raelyn Downey, Bentley Depper, Kenna Depper, Kasey Queen, Karsen Downey, Kaylee Downey, Jalyn Luehr, Madalynn Luehr, Graham Depper, Deryck Depper; siblings: Robert Kendall, Harold Kendall, and Patricia Ray.

Thelma is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Earl Kendall, Jerry Kendall, Susie Trammel, Carl Kendall, Emil Kendall, Jr, Roberta Kendall and Jervey Kendall.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Loyalty Missionary Baptist Church, Sparta, IL, with Rev. Tom Foster officiating.  Burial to follow at Cutler Cemetery, Cutler, IL.  Friends may call from 5 - 8 pm, Friday at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL and on Saturday, 10 – 11, at the church.  Memorials may be given to Pancreatic Cancer Research and can be mailed to Wilson Funeral Home, P.O.
