AVA – Tanya Wilson, 50, of Ava, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, Illinois.

Tanya was born on June 25, 1976, in Pinckneyville, IL, to Michael and Cheryl (Kraus) Kennedy. She married Brett Wilson in Pinckneyville, IL. Tanya was in management for Toyoda Gosei Company and a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson Grayson. Tanya also loved to travel.

Tanya is survived by her parents, Michael (Cheryl) Kennedy, her husband, Brett Wilson, her children: Kaylee Bechman (Zane), Alli Wagner, Brooklynn Bert, Kasey Wilson, Jordan Wilson, Bradyn Wilson; her grandsons: Grayson Bechman and arriving soon Henry Bechman; her siblings: Rick Kennedy, B.J. Kennedy, Brian Kennedy, and Josh Kennedy.

Tanya was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bud and Opal “Nana” Kraus, and paternal grandparents, Barbara "Bobby" Jasper and Lowell Kennedy.

Tanya’s wishes were for cremation, and a private service will be held at a later date.
