ELKVILLE – Sylvia Hayden, 78, of Elkville, passed away at 10:10 AM, Thursday, May 18, 2017 at her daughter's home in Elkville.

Sylvia was born on February 7, 1939 in Pekin, Illinois the daughter of Harry and Ruby Violet (Malott) Lee. She married Floyd Hayden, and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1992. Sylvia was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Faith.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter; Debra Rice (Brian Masinell), of Elkville, 5 grandchildren; Robert (Roni) Frisch, of Sparta, Cassondra (Mark) Duty, of Sparta, Christopher Colona (Jenny Davis), of Brighton, Illinois, Brittney (Ty) Gimmy, of Lynnville, Illinois, and Harley Colona, of Elkville, she is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; Tobias Duty, Landon Duty, Vincent Duty, Donald Gimmy, and David Gimmy.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters; Betty Taylor, and Dorothy Darlene Shoemaker.

Her body will be cremated and there will be a private family graveside service at the Percy Village Cemetery at a later date. Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava is entrusted with the arrangements.
