MARION - Susan G. Patton, 73, of Marion, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois. Susan was born in Belleville, Illinois on July 26, 1941, the daughter of Melvin Fred and Bonnie Elaine Bagwill Juenger. She married Roger B. Patton on September 2, 1967, he preceded her in death. Susan was a licensed Cosmetologist and later an Administrative Assistant at SIUC and the Florida Department of Transportation in Tampa, Florida. She graduated with an Associates in Arts from John A. Logan College and a Bachelor's in Science from SIUC. She was a member of The View in Carbondale, IL and a former member of the Moose Lodge in Dale City, Florida. Susan is survived by her son, Roger B. Patton, II of Marion, IL; and two sisters, Patsy Schoenbeck of Marissa, IL and Martha Myers of Percy, IL. Susan was also preceded in death by her Parents and her daughter, Susanne. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Marvin "Bud" Bennett officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call from 1 pm until 2 pm Monday. Memorials may be given to the Family.
