STEELEVILLE - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Susan Kay Grab, 75, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Coulterville Care Center, Coulterville, IL. A faithful servant of Christ and a devoted matriarch who cherished her family above all.

Born December 7, 1950, to Kenneth and Peggy (Newsom) Robinson, Susan lived a life guided by faith, family, and unwavering kindness. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her with grace and trust in God’s love. She exemplified compassion, humility, and steadfast devotion, and her Christian faith was always a living testament to those around her. Susan married Larry Grab, on May 3, 1969, in Coulterville, IL.

Even in a long and challenging battle with ALS, she faced each day with courage, grace and quiet strength that inspired all who knew her. Her perseverance and faith through illness were a testament to the power of prayer, family, and the enduring hope she held in God’s promises.

Surviving family includes her loving husband and life partner who just celebrated 57 years of marriage, Larry Grab, her children: Tracy Allard nee Grab, Richard “Andy” (Michelle) Grab; her grandchildren: Amber Jameson, Justin "Ryan" Garvey, Elizabeth nee Grab (Skyler) Breazeale, Alexis Allard, Haley Allard, Samantha (Maddie) Grab, Sarah Grab, Benny Grab; her great grandchildren: Marcy Breazeale, Mia Garvey; her brother, Kenneth (Kathy) Robinson, Jr., her nieces and nephews, and her wide extended family who enriched her life with love, support, and shared faith.

Susans wishes were for cremation, and a Celebration of Life will follow at a later date. The family invites donations to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL, which supported her beloved community, and can be mailed to Wilson’s Funeral Home, P.O. Box 217, Steeleville, IL 62288.
