Obituary

AVA -- Sue Ann Wilson, 55, passed away at 12:33 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Sue Ann was born Sept. 7, 1957, in Murphysboro to William and Phyllis Stewart. She married Terry Wilson on May 2, 1976, in Murphysboro. She was a member of First Christian Church in Murphysboro. She was a dental biller for Shawnee Health Service at Murphysboro Health Center. Sue Ann was a loving wife, mother, daughter and Gram. She was an amazing cook, gifted story teller and had a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren. She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Stewart, of Murphysboro; husband, Terry Wilson, of Ava; daughter, Brooke Crombar and husband, Lance, of Murphysboro; son, Jeffrey Wilson and wife, Jill, of Murphysboro; grandchildren, Kate and Corey Crombar of Murphysboro, and Jacey Sue Wilson, due in July; brother, Mike Stewart and wife, Brenda, of Ava; brother, Rick Stewart and wife, Vickie, of Vergennes; brother-in-law, Jerry Wilson and wife, Karen, of Ava; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, William Stewart; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eugene and Erma Wilson; and her grandparents. Her faith in the Lord, positivity, determination and strength were an inspiration throughout her entire life and during her illness. The family rejoices in the fact she is walking with Jesus. The family would like to thank the staff of Siteman Cancer Center, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, TIP Hospice and Murphysboro Health Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava, with Pastor Rick Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Murdale Gardens of Memory in Murphysboro. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Per her wishes, her body will be cremated.
