CHESTER – Stephanie A. Mauser, 65, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Three Springs Lodge, Chester, Illinois.

Stephanie was born on May 6, 1959, in East St. Louis, IL, the daughter of William E. and Dolores R. (Steele) Mauser. Stephanie worked as a CNA for many years in the area. She was a member of First Apostolic Church, Chester, IL, where she was very active as a Sunday School Teacher and a musician with the church. Stephanie was very artistic as a musician, singing and composing music. She loved drawing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Stephanie is survived by her son, Jeffrey Monte (Christina Throop) and their children: Cooper (Rebecca) Adams, Dylan Throop, Tyler Herring, Ayla Oswald, Elizabeth Monte; and grandchildren: Stella Adams, Blake Herring; her daughter, Cassie (Henry) Venus and their children: Alison, Julia and Natalie Venus; her siblings: Pamela Wrigley of Bloomsdale, MO and Gary Mauser of Columbia, IL.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, William Mauser and her partner, Glenn Pelate.

Stephanie's wishes were for Cremation and a private service will be at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Music Department, Chester High School and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O. Box 217, Steeleville, IL 62288.
