JOHNSTON CITY – Stanley E. White, 81, of Johnston City, IL, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022, at his home in Johnston City, Illinois.

Stanley was born December 8, 1940, in Reno, IL, to Victor and Nora (Brewer) White. He married Barbara Fred, December 9, 1961, in Springfield, IL. Stanley was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a retired butcher from the Butcher Block and Mad Pricer in Sparta, IL, and a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Church, Chester, IL, and Meat Cutter Union, Local #700.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Barbara White of Johnston City, IL, children: Denise and Bill Shields of Sparta, IL, Anthony (Tony) and Regina White of San Diego, CA, Daniel White of Johnston City, IL, Jason White of DuQuoin, IL; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, siblings: Joyce, Melba, Denny, Doug, Mae, and Pam.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Kent, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, August 29, 2022, at Apostolic Pentecostal Church, Chester, IL, with Rev. Phillip Keeton officiating. Burial to follow at Old DuQuoin Cemetery, DuQuoin, IL. Friends may call from 5 – 8 pm, Sunday, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, and 9:30 – 10:30 am, Monday, at the church.
