STEELEVILLE – Stanley C. Hubler, Jr, 73, of Steeleville, IL, passed away on Wednesday March 18, 2026, at Addington Place, Sparta, Illinois.

Stanley was born October 14, 1952, in Pinckneyville, IL to Stanley Sr. and Opal Davis Hubler. He married Julie Payne on February 15, 1996, in Kentucky. She preceded him in death on April 17, 2021. Stanley retired from Peabody Coal Company as a Coal Miner. He was a member of United Mine Workers of America and Steeleville Baptist Church.

Stanley is survived by his daughter, Shannon (Todd) Rubach of Steeleville, IL, his granddaughter, Kaelyn Rubach, his sisters: Susie (Bob) Wilson of Sparta, IL, Linda (Roy) DeSpain of Coulterville, IL, and Heather June Hubler of Pinckneyville, IL.

Stanley was also preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Brad Owen and Gene Owen, his sisters: Marlene Dinges, Darlene Sero, and Sandra Oyler.

Stanley’s wishes were for Cremation, and a Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
