STEELEVILLE – Staci Kay Harsy, 17, of Steeleville, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018, on Brick Plant Road, near Campbell Hill as a result of an automobile accident.
Staci was born in Sparta, on November 5, 2000, the daughter of Michael A. Harsy and Kathy Lynn Griffin. She was a member of the Trico High School Class of 2019. Staci was a member of the Elkville Christian Church, Elkville, Illinois.
Staci is survived by her mother, Kathy Griffin of Steeleville; her father, Michael (Amanda) Harsy of DuQuoin; siblings, Trevor, Brody, and Charlie Harsy, Madisyn Halliday, Aubrie Medford, Shelby Iubelt, Shia Holmes and Saylor Griffiths; paternal grandparents, Denny and Peggy Harsy of DuQuoin; maternal grandparents, Mary Ann (Butch Gale) Griffin of Murphysboro; paternal step grandparents, Frankie and Georgia Alvis; Special Friend, Charlie Tindall.
Staci was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandfather, Willard Griffin; uncles, Troy and Jaime Griffin and Steve Schaefer.
Funeral service will be held at Trico High School on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 2:00 pm, with Larry Lovel officiating. Burial will be at Looney Springs Cemetery, Campbell Hill. Visitation will be at Trico High School on Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm. Memorials may be made to a Scholarship for Trico High School Class of 2019 in Staci's Memory.
