STEELEVILLE – Shirley J. Phillips, 79, of Steeleville, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022, at her home in Steeleville, IL.

Shirley was born April 10, 1943, in Kennett, MO, to John and Edith (Duty) Luttrell. She married Garrett A. Phillips on June 6, 1960, in Jackson, MO, he preceded her in death on May 15, 2013. Shirley was a retired CNA from Coulterville Care Center, Coulterville, IL.

Shirley is survived by her children: Loretta and Junior Mines of Steeleville, IL, Brenda and Virgil Aaron of Coulterville, IL, Dawn Phillips of Steeleville, IL, Scott and JoAnn Phillips of Steeleville, IL; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, sisters: Vickie and Gene Holston of Dexter, MO, BJ Luttrell of Jackson, MO, and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley is also preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, one great grandson, three brothers, and one sister.

Shirley's wishes were for cremation and a Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 11, 2022, at her home in Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Phillip Luttrell officiating.
