SPARTA - Shirley Ann Morrow, 81, of Sparta, passed away at 2:18 am, Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Randolph County Care in Sparta, Illinois. Shirley was born in Beaver Falls, PA, on February 6, 1932, the daughter of Joseph A. and Iona Risinger Smith. She married Rev. Robert W. "Bob" Morrow on July 19, 1955 in Beaver Falls, PA. Shirley was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Sparta and the Randolph County Genealogical Society. She was a retired Elementary Teacher, having worked in Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Iowa and Ohio. Shirley is survived by her husband, Rev. Robert W. "Bob" Morrow of Sparta; her children, Mary Morrow of Sparta, Samuel Morrow of Kokomo, IN, Eric Morrow of Sparta, and Ruth Ann Armentrout of Shelbyville, IN; 6 grandchildren; and one sister, Nancy Derringer of Darlington, PA. Shirley was preceded in death by her Parents. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Sparta with Rev. Ray Morton and Rev. Daniel Hemken officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Prairie Cemetery in Sparta. Visitation will be at the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Sparta on Thursday from 5 pm to 8 pm and on Friday from 9 am until 10 am. Memorials may be given to the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Sparta, the American Bible Society or Genevieve College in Beaver Falls, PA.
