STEELEVILLE, Shirley M. Manor, 74, of Steeleville, passed away at 2:00 A.M. Thursday, February 4, 2010, at Memorial Hospital of Chester in Chester, IL. She was born January 28, 1936 in Belgique, Missouri the daughter of Roy E. Montgomery and Bernice (Amberger) Montgomery. Shirley married Lester Manor on April 29, 1965 in Murphysboro, Illinois. Lester passed away on October 20, 1968. She is survived by her daughter: Rita F. and Kevin Hobeck of Hollywood, FL; son: William F. "Butch" and Carlene Ogle of Steeleville, IL; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; sisters: Ella Mae and Bob Bailey of Jefferson City, MO, Zelma and Milford Gerler of Crestwood, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, one daughter, two brothers and one sister. Shirley was a homemaker in her own home and also a member of the B.B.K. American Legion Auxiliary Post #480 Steeleville, IL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville, IL. Rev. Bob Ogle will be officiating. Burial will be at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, IL. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Friday from 6-8 PM and then on Saturday from 7:30 until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association
