TILDEN – Shirley D. Glodo, 88, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Shirley was born on February 8, 1935, in Ava, IL, the daughter of Iven S. and Bernadine Wayland (Luthy). She married Frankie Wayne Glodo on February 26, 1955, in Piggott, AR. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1966. Shirley retired from World Color Press, Sparta, IL, and was a member for Faith Ministries, Sparta, IL.

Shirley is survived by her sons: Brett Glodo of Willisville, IL, and Bartt Glodo of Sparta, IL, twelve grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.

Shirley is also preceded in death by her parents, three sons: Rick, Preston, and Kevin; one granddaughter, Nicole Jane, and one brother, Ivan S. Luthy Jr.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, IL, Rev. Richard Reid officiating. Memorials may be given to Faith Ministries, Sparta, IL, c/o Wilson's Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Ava, IL, 62907.
