STEELEVILLE – Sharon L. Kennedy, 76, of Steeleville, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Three Springs Lodge, Chester, Illinois.

Sharon was born on February 21, 1950, in E. St. Louis, IL, to Harry O. and Arneda (Utley) Blockey. She married Lowell Ray Kennedy on November 25, 1974, in Dickenson, VA. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2000. Sharon was a Homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Willisville, IL.

Sharon is survived by her children: Tara McClenahan of Louisville, KY, Todd (Emily) Kennedy of Willisville, IL; her stepchildren: Mike (Cheryl) Kennedy and family, Doug Kennedy and family, Vicki Migneron family, Andy McBride and family, Bill (Pam) Kennedy and family, her grandchildren: Cole, Jorden (Halley), Hunter, Autumn, Addilyn, Braelyn, Landree; her great grandchildren: Hayden, Kendall, Jayden; her siblings: Norma Rathjen of Chester, IL, and James (Stacy) Blockley of Grand Junction, Colorado.

Sharon was also preceded in death by her parents, her sisters: Carol June, Ruth Ann, Barbara, Jacqueline, her twin sister Karen; her brothers: Harry “Butch”, Brad; and stepdaughter, Vicki Migneron.
