AVA – Sharon Kay Dagner, 71, of Ava, IL, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, Illinois.

Sharon was born November 19, 1950, in Murphysboro, IL, to Russell and Bette Jane (Minter) Bilderback. She married Charles Calvin Dagner, on October 20, 1972, in Belton, TX. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2002. Sharon was a member of First Baptist Church, Ava, and was a homemaker.

Sharon is survived by her children: Kevin Bilderback of Percy, IL, Mary (Eugene) Kujawa of DuBois, IL: grandchildren: Kayden Bilderback, Dylan Kujawa, Trenton (Catherine) Kujawa, Ryan Kujawa, Jenna Kujawa; one great granddaughter, Ella Jane Kujawa, siblings: William Bilderback of Percy, IL, and Donna Russey of Yantis, TX.

Sharon is also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Gary Minter, and sister, Carol Schroeder.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, IL, with Rev. Bryan Jeffries officiating. Burial to follow at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, IL.
