TILDEN - Sharon K. Anderson, 72, of Tilden, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Sharon was born in Tilden, Illinois on May 25, 1943, the daughter of Arthur and Emma Ackroyd Owens. She married William W. Anderson on July 14, 1978 in Tilden, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1998. Sharon was a Beautician, she also worked at the dress factory in Sparta, in her early years she was a switch board operator. Sharon was a member of the United Methodist Church, Tilden, Illinois. Sharon is survived by her children, R. Mark (Amy) Robertson of Sparta, Michael Robertson of Sparta, Mike Anderson of Bremen, IL, Bill (Shandela) Anderson of Collinsville, Tracy Anderson of Marissa, IL and Julie (Dennis) Freck of DuQuoin, IL; 17 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; her companion, Courtney Rennaux of Tilden; and brothers and sisters, Clifford (Sally) Owens of Marissa, Lois (Bill) Beckley of Tilden, Burnell (Donna) Owens of Sparta, and Carol (Larry) Dorin of Doniphan, MO. Sharon was also preceded in death by her parents. Memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Tilden with Rev. John Hackmann officiating. Burial will be at Tilden City Cemetery, Tilden, Illinois. Visitation will be at the church from 2 pm until 4 pm Saturday, August 1, 2015. Memorials may be given to American Lung Association.
