STEELEVILLE, Selma Schrader, 93, of Steeleville, passed away at 8:37 A.M. Sunday, June 19, 2011, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, IL. She was born October 16, 1917 in Ava, Illinois the daughter of August G. Dierks and Dorothea (Brueggemann) Dierks. Selma married Elmer H. Schrader on December 24, 1936 in West Point, IL. Elmer passed away on November 9, 1983. She is survived by her one son: Kenneth P. and Rita Schrader of Steeleville, IL; one daughter: Donna S. and Ken Kober of Collinsville, IL; one son-in-law: Norlyn Schnoeker of Evansville, IL; 14 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; two sisters: Elda Fastenau of Percy, IL and Esther and Carl Wilson of Chester, IL; one sister-in-law: Evelyn Dierks of Steeleville, IL. Selma is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Alvin, Albert, and Herbert; two sisters: Sophia Voss and Dora Knop; daughter: Ruth Schnoeker and one great great grandchild. She was a homemaker in her own home and she was also a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL. She was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, West Point, IL. Selma was a member of the Steeleville Senior Citizens and St. Mark's Priscilla Club. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville. Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke will be officiating. Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Wednesday from 5-8 PM and then on Thursday from 7:30 to 8:30 am and then from 9:30 to 10:30am at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran School, Christ Our Savior Lutheran School or St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
