SPARTA – Sara A. Blind, 91, of Sparta, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at her home in Sparta.

Sara was born in Coulterville, Illinois, on December 20, 1934, the daughter of Robert and Bessie Magrey Rust. She married Robert Blind on March 31, 1956 in Coulterville, Illinois. She was the Co-Owner and Operator of Blinds Restaurant and Storage Rentals in Sparta. Sara was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church, Sparta; Business and Professional Women of Sparta; and Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Sara enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Sara is survived by her husband, Robert Blind of Sparta; her children, Jeffrey, Sr. (Janice) Blind of Sparta and Tama Robinson of Pinckneyville, IL; grandchildren, Robert (Megan) Robinson of White House, TN, Jeffrey, Jr. (Emily) Blind of Swansea, IL, Matthew (Sarah) Blind of Waterloo, IL, Raven (Randy) Vasquez of Freeburg, IL, Dillon (Jenna) Blind of St. Louis, MO; great grandchildren, Chloe, Wade, Brody, Caroline, Brooke, Stella, Harlow, Goldie, Graham, Dolly, Mabel and Ava; and brother, Robert Rust of Coulterville, IL.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Doris Fox and Dorothy Harrison; and one son-in-law, Danny Robinson.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Sparta, with Rev. John Werth officiating. Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery, Sparta. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6 pm until 8 pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Sparta, and on Wednesday from 9 am until 11 am.
