STEELEVILLE, Sandra J. Koch, 67 of Steeleville, passed away at 8:17 am Monday, September 7, 2015, at Three Springs Lodge in Chester, Illinois. She was born on October 1, 1947 in Binghamton, New York, the daughter of John Louis and Louise Gensee Hughs Cole. Sandra was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church of Steeleville, Illinois. She was also a lifetime member of the Glen A. Warner V.F.W. Post 1371 Auxiliary of Owego, NY where she was the first president of the junior girls V.F.W. post 1371; Steeleville B.B.K. Post 480 American Legion Auxiliary where she was a past president; she was a past secretary of the 25th district American Legion Auxiliary; Cub Scout den leader, Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, bible school music teacher, and R.S.V.P volunteer. She is survived by her children, Tina Koch of O'Fallon, IL; Craig Koch (Anna Lang) of O'Fallon, IL; Michael and Jan Koch of Steeleville, IL; Jennifer and Mike Jones of Steeleville, IL; John and Marria Koch of Chester, IL; Kelly Aaron of Cutler, IL; Fifteen Grandchildren; mother, Louise Cole of Binghamton, NY; two sisters: Jane and Rob Fedorcyzk of Easton, PA and Barbara Rury (Greg Reynolds) of Newark Valley, NY. Sandra is preceded in death by her father, John Cole. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 4pm at the United Methodist Church in Steeleville, IL. Rev. Marvin Bennett will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 3-4 pm at the United Methodist Church in Steeleville, IL. Memorial may be given to the Ronald McDonald House.
