PERCY – Sally Momberger, formerly of Percy, IL, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021.

Sally was born on June 4, 1952, in Murphysboro, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Sarah Momberger, and her lifelong partner, Carl Monninger. She is survived by her brother Bill (Hazel) Momberger, cousins, and many friends.

Sally graduated Trico High School in 1970, where she later became their first school nurse. She attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and Missouri Baptist School of Nursing. In the early 1970, Sally attended a Trauma and Critical Care Conference and fell in love with the City of Chicago. She left Southern Illinois and moved to the city where she worked as a Critical Care Nurse at Northwestern and North Shore Hospitals. Sally enjoyed traveling with friends and family throughout Europe, the Caribbean, and the Holy Land.

Memorial services will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville, IL, at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 4, 2022. Family and friends may call from 10 – 11 am. Burial to follow at Percy Village Cemetery, Percy, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O.
