AVA – Ryan E. Phoenix, 37, of Ava, passed away at 11:55 am, Monday, December 28, 2020, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

Ryan was born in Belleville, Illinois, on May 1, 1983, the son of Robert E. Phoenix and Pamela Lane.  He was a member of the Ava Assembly of God Church, Ava, Illinois.

Ryan is survived by his Father, Robert "Bob" (Pat) Phoenix of Ava; his Mother, Pamela Lane of Belleville; siblings, Brian Phoenix of Ava, Sue Easton of Ava, Roger Phoenix of Chester, Karen Koenigstein of Hecker, IL, Pamela Peel of Belleville, Kevin Stumpf of E. Carondelet, IL, Penny Phoenix of Murphysboro, and Bradley Lane of Belleville.

Ryan was preceded in death by his Grandparents.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Ava Evergreen Cemetery, with Rev. Brad Geary officiating.  Burial will follow.  The preferred form of remembrance are memorials to the American Diabetes Association.
