AVA – Ryan W. Jones, 41, of Ava, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at home.

Ryan was born in Chester, Illinois, on March 30, 1977, the son of Carl W. and Lynn I. Thies Jones.  Ryan was System LIS Manager at SIH.  He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill.  Ryan was a former member of the Ava Volunteer Fire Department and was a First Responder.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Carl and Lynn Jones of Ava; aunts and uncles, Barb (John) Carpenter of Murphysboro, Larry (Verna) Jones of Ava, Jean (Carl) Clinton of Ava, Steve (Cheryal) Jones of Murphysboro, Marty (Melvin) Ehlers of Campbell Hill, Karla (Bill) Kuhnert of Ava, and Arlen Thies of Campbell Hill; and many cousins, friends and coworkers.

Ryan was preceded in death by his sister, Amie Lynn Jones and grandparents, Jack and Margaret Jones and Jr. and Leota Thies.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 9, 2019 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, with Minister Deb Rathert and Sister Rachel Castillo officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery, Campbell Hill, Illinois.  Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava, where friends may call on Friday from 5 pm until 8 pm and on Saturday from 7:30 am until 9 am then from 10 am until 11 am at the church.  Memorials may be given to St. Luke's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
