STEELEVILLE, Ruth E. Wittbracht, 78, of Waterloo, IL, formerly of Steeleville, IL, passed away at 7:45 A.M. Sunday, February 01, 2009, at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Ruth was born October 11, 1930 in Percy, Illinois the daughter of Edward W. Knop and Bertha (Lehmberg) Knop. Ruth married Warren C. Wittbracht on June 3, 1950 in Wine Hill, Illinois, he preceded her in death on February 5, 2008. She was a Homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL, St. Mark's LWML, St. Mark's Priscilla Club, and B.B.K. American Legion Auxiliary Post #480 of Steeleville, IL. Ruth is survived by one son, Curtis (Linda) Wittbracht of Waterloo, IL; one daughter, Myra (Wayne) Moureau of Salem, IL; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, June Knop of Steeleville, IL. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Steeleville with Rev. Dr. Alan W. Janneke officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery at Wine Hill, Illinois. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm and on Wednesday from 7:30 am until Noon and on Wednesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Steeleville from 1 to 2 pm. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Roof Fund or The Lutheran Hour Ministries.
