CHESTER, Ruth A. Rosendohl, 71, of Chester, passed away at 11:48 P.M. Thursday, January 06, 2011, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born July 01, 1939 in East St, Louis, Illinois the daughter of Harry Blockley and Arneda (Utley) Blockley. Ruth married Raymond Glen Rosendohl in November of 1962 in Jackson, MO. She worked as a homemaker in her own home. She is survived by her husband Glen Rosendohl of Chester, IL; eight children: Bobby Rosendohl of Chester, IL, Lana Preciado of Las Vegas, NV, Pam and Neil Haley of Evansville, IL, Ray Jr. Rosendohl of Chester, IL, Denise and Rodney Gendron of Jackson, MO, Melanie and Eddie Eckart of Chester, IL, Diann and Rob Miles of Chester, IL, Kelli Koeneman and Marc Quillman of Troy, IL; 22 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: James Blockley of Chester, IL and Brad Blockley of Troy, IL; 4 sisters: Norma Rathjen of Jacob, IL, Barbara Gross of Chester, IL, Sharon Kennedy of Steeleville, IL, and Karen Parrish of Brewer, MO. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, Harry "Butch" Blockley, 2 sisters, Jacqualin Faye Eggemeyer and Carol June Blockley, 1 great grandchild, Jessica Heferkamp, and 1 daughter-in-law, Sylvia Rosendohl. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville. Rev. Cecil Dunning will be officiating. Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville, IL. Visitation will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville on Sunday from 5-8 pm and then on Monday from 7:30 am until the hour of service.
