SPARTA – Ruth S. Little, 76, of Sparta, passed away at 10:59 PM, Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Randolph County Care Center in Sparta.
Ruth was born on August 14, 1940 in Feudenheim Germany, the daughter of Johann and Lina (Ruppert) Spreng. She married Billy D. Little on August 8, 1958 in Feudenheim Germany. He preceded her in death on April 28, 2012. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Sparta.
Ruth is survived by 3 sons; Dennis (Tammy) Little of Sparta, Brian Little of Sparta, and Bruce Little of Sparta, 5 granddaughters and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 sister; Karin (Pete) Dressler of Feudenheim, Germany, and 1 brother; Roland (Gerda) Spreng of Brühl, Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 son; Curtis Little.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Sparta with Rev. Cory Marth officiating, burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery, Sparta. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening at the church where friends may call from 6-8 PM and then on Thursday from 8:30 until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church or to Heartland Hospice.
